These custom made strop blocks are the best thing to keep your convex edges in top shape. We make ours with well aged hard maple blocks for stability. Three sides are covered with leather, for grey compound (coarse) and green compound (fine) and bare leather craziness. The tightenable blocks on the sides hold down sheets of wet and dry paper when you need to give your knife a more serious sharpening. A versatile tool for all of your blades. You could probably make one yourself, but why?
