This full sized cleaver is hand forged from 1095 high carbon tool steel for reliable performance and toughness. The tall blade forged thin, so while it is heavy enough for any task, it will slice efficiently too. The facets are flat ground and the edge is convex. The handle is local Iowan black walnut wood from, Beaverdale, IA. Three brass corby bolts anchor the handle for a classic look. A nice solid kitchen tool that doesn’t get too heavy and can chop the house down.
